Adjultinllhe valve clearance
Installinllh8 alternator CDV8r
- Remove special tool O.
I Crankshaft locking bolt (113080802) (r p. 254)
- Crank over the engine repeatedly.
- Position the engine at ignition top dead center.

- Check the valve clearance at all valves between the valve and rocker arm.

I Feeler gauge (59029041100) (r p. 256)
• If the valve clearance does not meet specifications:
- Adjust the valve clearance.
(r p. 157)
- Remove special tool O.
- Mount and tighten screw •.

I Plug, crankshaft location
110 Nm (7.4 Ibf It) I
- Remove the timing chain tensioner. (r p. 107)
- Remove the camshaft. (r p. 107)
- Raise rocker arm 0 on the outside.
- Remove
shims. and set down in the position in which they were installed.
- Correct the shims according to the findings from checking the valve clearance.
- Insert the
fitting shims •.
- Install the camshaft. (r p. 156)
- Install the timing chain tensioner. (r p. 156)
- Check the valve clearance. (r p. 157)
- Mount centering pins •. Position alternator cover gasket •.
