How to troubleshoot colored exhaust fumes from Kubota M100GX-II Tractor?
    • J
      John PaulAug 16, 2025
If the exhaust fumes from your Kubota Tractor are colored, the cause varies by color. For black fumes, change the fuel and fuel filter, check the oil level, and clean or replace the air cleaner element. For blue-white fumes, check the intake air heater function in cold weather, heat the muffler by applying load to the engine, inspect the injection nozzle, and change the fuel and fuel filter.

      Dustin MurphyNov 7, 2025
If your Kubota Tractor's engine is hard to start or won't start, several factors could be at play. Start by checking the fuel tank and fuel filter, replacing the filter if needed. Also, ensure the fuel line coupler bolt and nut are tight. In cold weather, thickened oil can slow the engine; consider using oils with different viscosities or an optional engine block heater. Weak battery? Clean the battery cables and terminals, charge the battery, and in cold weather, remove, charge, and store the battery indoors, installing it only when you're ready to use the tractor. For M100GX-II and M110GX-II models, check the intake air heater system's slow blow fuse and function in cold weather. For M128GX-II and M135GX-II models, inspect the preheat (glow plug) system's slow blow fuse and its function ...
