(4) Disassembling Clutch Housing
Bearing Support and Main Shaft
1. Remove the bearing retainers (1).
2. Remove the external snap ring (2).
3. Tap out the main shaft (6) to the rear.
4. Remove the bearing support (5) by M8 x Pitch 1.25 screws into
holes (A), (B).
NOTE
When tapping out the main shaft (6), hold the bearing
washer (8), the needle bearing (3), the collar (7) and the
shims (4) for prevent the drop.
(When reassembling)
Be sure to direct the groove side of the thrust collar.
Apply transmission fluid to the bearing.
Be sure to change the external snap ring.
Be sure to check the main shaft rotation smoothly after
assembling the support.
After assembling support, be sure to check the side clearance on
the main shaft of gears. (See page 3-S39.)
