Program 5: Cake
Ingredients Quantity
Eggs 3
Sugar 150g
Butter, softened 125g
Vanilla Essence 1½ tsp
Milk 150mL
Wheat Flour 250g
Bicarbonate of Soda 1 tsp
Baking Powder 2 tsp
Salt ¼ tsp
Take the baking tin out of the bread maker and place the greased kneading
paddles on the spindles inside the tin.
In a separate bowl, whip the eggs and sugar and pour into the baking tin.
Add the softened butter, vanilla essence and milk.
Sift the flour, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda and add to the tin.
Place the baking tin rmly in the appliance, making sure it clicks securely into
place. Fold down the handle, close the lid rmly and plug in the machine.
Using the buttons on the control panel, make your program selection:
program 5.
Press the START/STOP button to start the program. Do not open the lid
during the baking process!
At the end of the cake-making process the appliance will automatically
enter a keep warm stage of approximately one hour.
Press the START/STOP button, unplug the machine and carefully open the
lid. Wear oven mitts when removing the baking tin from the appliance and
removing the cake from the tin. Let the cake cool down on a wire rack.
If the kneading paddles are stuck in the cake, use the hook to remove
them, but only do so after the cake has cooled down.
Slice the cake using a serrated-edge or electric knife. Enjoy!
