Instructions (Cont.)
IMPORTANT: The ice cream maker must be in rotation before adding
ingredients, otherwise the mixture will immediately freeze to the
inside surfaces of the bowl.
• Open the chute and carefully pour the ice cream/sorbet mixture through the
chute into the inner bowl.
IMPORTANT: When pouring the mixture into the bowl, always stop at least
5cm from the top, as the mixture will increase in volume during
freezing.
• Allow the mixture to churn until frozen or the desired consistency is reached.
This may take up to 15–30 minutes, but most recipes will take less time.
IMPORTANT: Do not stop and start the machine unnecessarily during use, as
the mixture may freeze to the bowl and prevent movement of
the paddle.
• If your ice cream is ready before the set time, press the POWER button to
stop the machine. Unplug it, then press the two latches at the sides of the lid
and take off the lid. Your ice cream is now ready to serve.
IMPORTANT: Do not use hard or pointed utensils such as metal spoons for
removing the ice cream, they can damage the surface of the
bowl. Only use rubber, silicone or wooden utensils to serve ice
cream from the bowl.
• The ice cream produced should have a soft and smooth consistency.
• To firm up soft ice cream before eating, or to store leftover ice cream, transfer
it to a separate, freezer proof container for storage in the freezer.
IMPORTANT: Do not store ice cream or sorbet in the inner bowl in the freezer.
It will stick to the sides of the bowl and may damage the bowl.
IMPORTANT!
• Should the ice cream mixture become very thick, the paddle will
automatically change the direction of rotation to prevent the motor from
overheating. If it keeps on changing direction, switch off the appliance.
• In the unlikely event of the motor overheating, a safety cut out will activate
and stop the motor. In such a case, switch off the machine, unplug it from
the power supply and allow the power unit to cool down.
• For best results, the paddle should be in contact with the inside of the
inner bowl when the paddle rotates.
