Preparing the Frozen Dessert Mixture
• In a separate bowl, prepare your ice cream or sorbet mixture; see pages 19
to 26 for recipe suggestions. Cool the prepared ice cream/sorbet mixture
thoroughly in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
IMPORTANT: It is important that the mixture is cold before pouring it into the
ice cream maker.
Using the Ice Cream Maker
• Make sure all parts of the power unit/lid are clean and dry. Attach the spindle
securely onto the bottom of the motor unit, and the paddle onto the spindle.
• When the ice cream mixture is cold, take it out of the refrigerator. Take the
inner bowl out of the freezer and place it into the housing.
IMPORTANT: Do not delay; it is very important to use the inner bowl straight
after taking it out of the freezer. Hold the bowl by the handle
tabs, and to avoid frostbite, use oven mitts or pot holders when
touching the chilled bowl.
• Place the assembled power unit/lid on top of the unit; it will click in securely.
• Insert the plug into an appropriate electrical outlet. When you switch on
power at the outlet, the unit will emit a beep sound and [ 20:00 ] will be shown
on the LCD (Fig. 5). This is the default running time (20 minutes).
• Pressing the RESET button will increase the running time, in one minute
steps, up to a maximum of 40 minutes.
• Pressing the POWER button will start or stop the machine at any time.
• After having set the running time, press the POWER button to start the ice
cream maker. The paddles will start rotating and the countdown will start. The
LCD will display the remaining time [ XX:XX ].
