• RCD: Unless your home is already fitted with a residual current device (safety
switch), we recommend installing an RCD with a rated residual operating
current not exceeding 30mA to provide additional safety protection when
using electrical appliances. See your electrician for professional advice.
Usage Conditions and Restrictions
• Domestic use only: This appliance is suitable for indoor domestic use only.
It is not suitable for commercial use.
• No outdoor use: Do not use the appliance outdoors.
• Intended purpose: This appliance is intended for making domestic
quantities of ice cream and sorbet. Do not use it for anything other than its
intended purpose, and only use it as described in this manual. Any other use
may be hazardous and may result in personal injury.
• Accessories: Only use this appliance with the accessories supplied; do not
use it with any other attachments. The use of accessories not recommended
in this manual may cause fire, electric shock and/or personal injury.
• Usage restriction: The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of expe-
rience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children: Supervise children to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unattended: Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged in.
• No timer: This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an exter-
nal timer or separate remote control system.
• Work surface: To ensure safe and efficient operation, place the appliance on
a flat, stable surface, in a dry environment, close to a power point and away
from water and sources of heat.
• Protect from heat: Do not place the appliance near any open flame, hot
surface, radiant cooking elements or other source of heat.
• Repair: This appliance contains no user-serviceable parts inside. Do not
attempt to open or repair the appliance yourself. Repairs are only to be
carried out by a qualified technician. If your appliance requires service or
repair, contact our after sales support centre.
• WARNING: Always assemble and use properly! Improper assembly and
misuse of the appliance can result in injury and damage to the product. We
assume no responsibility for any eventual damages caused by misuse of the
product or noncompliance with these instructions.
