Software Updates
1. Go to www.kurzweilmusicsystems.com and follow the links to download the latest
software version to your computer desktop.
Note: The Operating System and Object les are combined in one le type (.KUF).
2. Press and hold the Play/Stop button and apply power to the unit. When CUP2 boot loader
and its version number scroll across the display, release the Play/Stop button.
3. The LED display then scrolls the following: "CUP2 Boot Loader V1.xx3, then displays
"RunCUP2",
4. Connect a USB cable from a computer to the USB port on the CUP2 rear panel.
5. Check the computer desktop and verify that the CUP2 USB device/window is present.
(This should appear on the desktop as an icon or window.)
6. Press the Play button. The LED display will show, "Update software".
7. Press the Next button. The display will show "Update". Press the Next button again.
8. Drag and drop the update le(s) directly to the CUP2 icon on the computer desktop.
Note: Be sure to always read the downloaded release notes and installation instructions in
case they have changed since this manual was written.
9. Unmount or "safely remove" the CUP2 icon from your computer.
10. Press the Next button on the CUP2 to begin the update. The LED display will show:
"Updating..."
11. When the update is complete, the LED display will show: "Done".
12. Turn the CUP2 off, then on again to test the software updates.
