Setting in Radio CDR-300UV

You need to prepare your radio for APRS.

Press Menu, go to Appendix, Choose GPS (red icon) and you will see this menu

Prepare the radio by navigating to Menu, Appendix, and selecting the GPS option for initial setup.

Enable GPS Switch and select all available NMEA data options (GPGGA, GPGSA, GPGSU, GPRMC).

Configure APRS Type, Analog APRS settings like PTT Upload and TX End within the radio's APRS menu.

Connect radio via USB, open CPS, and set GPS to ON, GPS Interval to 10s, and GPS Channel to OFF in DMR Service.

Set Manual TX Intervals to 15s, APRS Auto TX Intervals to 30s, and configure Beacon settings (GPS or Fixed Location).

Configure TX frequency, QT/DTQ, Transmit Delay, Preware Time, SSID, APRS Signal Path, and Call Sign.

Configure settings for digital APRS via DMR repeaters, including Report Channel and setting Your Sending Text.

Understand settings for Brand, Language, APRS Interval (60s), Callsign, Text (max 12 letters), and Icon.

Set up analog channels for APRS(A) and configure digital channels, noting digital APRS only works on TS2.
