POSITIONING THE PRODUCT DETECTORS
Therearetwofundamentalmethodstotriggertheapplicator:theNormalMode,andthe
SpecificMode.IntheNormalMode,oneproductdetectortriggersbothtampsatindividual
time/distancesfromtheinitial(only)productdetection.
IntheSpecificMode,twoproductdetectorsareusedtotriggerspecifictamps.Oneproduct
detectortriggerstheswingtampsandtheotherproductdetectortriggersthestraighttamp.
Theproductdetectorsmustbepositionedaccordingtotheconfigurationoftheapplicator.
Whenusingthedualtampforfrontandsideapplication,orsideandrearapplicator:
A.IntheAdvancedMenu,dualtampmodemustbesettoYes.
B.ThefirstproductdetectortoencountertheproductisProductDetector#1.ProductDetector
#1mustbeconnectedtotheProductDetector#1connectorontheapplicator.
C. IntheAdvancedMenu,theSWINGTAMPFIRSTsettingmustbesetsotheappropriatetamp
willapplythefirstlabeltotheproduct.
Whenusingasingletampforfront,rear,orsideapplication:
A. OneproductdetectoronlyisusedanditisalwaysconnectedtotheProductDetector#1
connectorontheapplicator.
B. IntheAdvancedMenu,theDUALTAMPMODEmustbe
settoNOandtheSWINGTAMP
FIRSTsettingmustbesetforthetampthatwillapplythelabel.
Followtheappropriateinstructionsforadualtampapplicator(frontandside,orsideandrear)
orforasingletampapplicator(front,orside,orrear).
