If your LaCie Storage 4big is not being recognized by your computer, first, check the interface cable connections at both ends (FireWire, eSATA, or USB) to ensure they are fully seated. Try disconnecting, waiting 10 seconds, and reconnecting the cables. If it's still not recognized, restart your computer. Also, ensure the power supply is properly connected and the drive is turned on via the On/Off/Auto button, and that the outlet is active. Finally, verify that the drive has been formatted correctly.
