If your LaCie storage hard disk isn't recognized when you plug in the interface cable, there are several things you can try. First, check the System LED to make sure the power is on. Next, verify that the HBA BIOS recognizes the empty hard disk. You may also want to turn off PCI bus power save mode in the host BIOS. Verify the interface connection and try using a different interface cable. Finally, try connecting to a different interface port.
