Usage Features

The TRITON 4.0 is designed for ease of use and safety. Before initial use, the barbecue and all food-contacting accessories must be burned off at the highest level with the lid closed for at least 20 minutes to remove production residues.

Assembly and Connection: The barbecue requires assembly, following the provided step-by-step instructions. A 1.5V AA battery must be inserted into the electric ignition before first use. The gas cylinder must be connected outdoors in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources. Various pressure regulator connection types are described (left-hand thread, lever, sleeve, or for gas cartridges), ensuring compatibility with different national standards. A leak test must be performed after connecting the gas cylinder and before each use to ensure all gas-carrying components are airtight.

Grilling Operation:

Preheating: Always preheat the barbecue with the lid closed to ensure food doesn't stick and for effective searing.
Direct Grilling: Food is placed directly over the burners, suitable for shorter cooking times (up to 30 minutes) and for searing.
Indirect Grilling: Heat comes from adjacent burners, with the burner directly beneath the food switched off and the lid closed. Ideal for longer cooking times, such as ribs or whole poultry.
Temperature Control: Each burner has a control knob to adjust the heat output from Min (lowest power) to Max (maximum power). The lid thermometer helps monitor the internal temperature.

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of the TRITON 4.0.

General Cleaning:

All parts must be allowed to cool down before cleaning.
The pressure regulator valve should not be cleaned or immersed in water.
The gas system should only be cleaned by a qualified expert.
The barbecue should not be immersed in water or hosed down.
The gas cylinder must be disconnected before cleaning the barbecue housing.
Avoid using cold water on hot parts, spirits, or abrasive/flammable cleaning agents.
All accessories are not dishwasher-safe and must be dry before storage.

Specific Cleaning Tasks:

Grease Collecting System: Empty and clean all parts (grease tray, grease pan) after each use with warm water, detergent, and a sponge.
Cast-Iron Grill Racks and Grill Plate: After each use, remove coarse residues with a grill brush or spatula. Burn off remaining residues at the highest level for about 30 minutes with the lid closed. Once cooled, brush off residues and wipe clean. Rubbing vegetable oil into the clean grill rack is recommended for maintenance.
Enamelled Grill Racks, Warming Racks, Flame Tamers, and other Enamelled Parts: Clean after every use with a plastic spatula or by soaking in warm water, then use warm water with detergent and a sponge/soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaning agents or steel brushes.
Stainless Steel Grill Racks: Clean after each use with warm water, washing-up liquid, a sponge, or a stainless steel cleaning pad.
Barbecue Chamber: Remove all food residues and grease deposits with a plastic spatula, then wipe surfaces clean with a soft cloth and warm water/detergent if heavily soiled.
Outsides (Stainless Steel Surfaces): Use a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner or warm water, household cleaner, and a sponge/soft cloth. Rinse with clear water and dry. For harsh environments, clean more frequently and apply a stainless steel cleaning agent every 3-4 weeks to prevent spots.
