Connect the positive terminal of the starter battery to the screw
terminal 1 (input).
Connect the positive terminal of the additional battery to the screw
terminal 2 (output).
Connect the connection cable GND to a ground.
Connect the negative terminal of the starter battery and the negative
terminal of the additional battery to a shared ground.
Should the battery connected to the alternator or charger exceed a
voltage of 13.5 V or 27 V, the CDR will switch on the auxiliary
battery for charging.
Should the voltage drop below 12.8 V or 25.6 V, the CDR will
disconnect the batteries to prevent mutual discharge.
The LED integrated in the CDR lights up when current (> 1 A) is
connected through.
Optional: To connect an external LED, connect the blue connecting cable
to an LED.
Optional: To connect a bypass button, connect the blue connecting
cable to a button.
8 Optional Functions
Bypass Function
The bypass function is used to charge the starter battery with the additional
battery if the voltage of the starter battery is too low.
To use this function, connect a button with the connection cable for the
bypass button.
LED Remote Display
An external LED can be connected and used as a remote display to detect
whether the CDR is conducting current.
To use this function, connect an LED (output 5 V, max. 5 mA) to the
connecting cable for the LED.
