  If your Legend Flame Indoor Fireplace isn't turning on, first ensure the power cord is properly plugged into a functioning and grounded 15 Amp 120V AC electrical outlet. If the unit previously worked but shut off, the temperature limiting control may need resetting. Also, inspect the power cord and plug for any damage; if damage is found, do not use the fireplace.

  If the remote control for your Legend Flame Indoor Fireplace isn't working, ensure the batteries are correctly installed. Also, make sure the fireplace has power, as the remote won't function otherwise. Aim the remote directly at the receiver, and remove any obstructions between the remote and the receiver. Avoid pressing the remote buttons too quickly; allow the unit time to respond.
