This document describes the installation and use of a connected roller shutter switch, part of the Valena Life with Netatmo range. It is an accessory that requires a connected starter pack to be purchased and installed first.

Function Description

The connected roller shutter switch allows for the control of roller shutters. It can be integrated into a connected installation, enabling remote control and automation of roller shutters. The device is designed to work with roller shutters that have a mechanical or electronic stop and are controlled by a standard wired roller shutter switch. It is not compatible with motors directly controlled by radio control.

Usage Features

Installation Process:

1. Safety First: Before any installation, ensure the power is switched off at the main circuit breaker. This is a crucial safety precaution.
2. Remove Existing Switch: The first step involves removing the existing roller shutter switch.
3. Wire the Connected Switch: Connect the neutral (N), live (L), and earth wires according to the provided diagram. The connected roller shutter switch is then installed in place of the old one.
4. Adding to Connected Installation: To integrate the connected roller shutter switch into your existing Valena Life with Netatmo installation, follow the instructions provided in:
   • The user guide of your connected starter pack.
   • The Legrand Home + Control application (Settings/Add a new product section).
   • The user manual available on legrand.fr.

Control Options:

• Single Control: The connected roller shutter switch can be operated directly.
• Multiple Control Points: To control a roller shutter switch from two or more locations, use additional "Roller shutters wireless switches" (not included in this pack). These wireless switches communicate with the connected roller shutter switch.
• Centralised Control: To create a centralised control system for multiple roller shutters:
  • Use one or more connected roller shutter switches.
  • Use a roller shutters wireless switch to manage them centrally.

Compatibility:

• The Valena Life with Netatmo solution is compatible with roller shutters that have a mechanical or electronic stop and are controlled by a standard wired roller shutter switch.
• It is explicitly stated that these switches are not compatible with motors directly controlled by radio control. Users should refer to their roller shutter instructions to verify compatibility.
