K Series Active
Outputs é amplifiers + speaker enclosures or amplified enclosures
of the main system (MASTER outputs); amplifiers + monitors or
amplified monitors (AUX outputs; effects (AUX outputs).
Inputs é instruments with LINE sensitivity (keyboards, samplers,
recorders, etc.); microphones (one by one after everything else).
Connector cables
When connecting amplified enclosures to the mixer, make certain to
always use only signal cables (screened cables made up of two
wires plus a braid/screen) and
not power cables (speaker cables made
up of just two wires, normally with a larger cross-section): the use of
unscreened cables could in fact probably cause annoying hum and noise.
Take good care of the connector cables, very frequently the cause of
problems both large and large. Always grip them by the plugs, never
pull the cables, and always avoid knots and twists when coiling them:
they will last longer and be more reliable, a great advantage.
Protection and maintenance.
This enclosure is built from shockproof material, but nevertheless its
advisable to use its original packing to for protection during transport.
To avoid jeopardizing correct operation, it is also best not to position
the enclosure for long periods in exposed places (damp, high
temperature, etc.), in dusty environments or those subject to strong
vibrations. On this subject, its advisable always to leave the protective
front panel mounted on the enclosure.
In the event of breakdown.
In the event of breakdown, do not open the enclosure, but contact
the nearest GENERALMUSIC/LEM Service Centre.
Conservation of documentation and packing.
Keep this users handbook for future reference. Keep all the packing
material as well for future shipments. Remember a general rule on this
matter: on the secondhand market, products always get a better price
if theyve still got their original documentation and packing as well as
being in good condition.
