K Series Active
The following diagrams illustrate the wiring of the various types of sockets that can be used with
the K Active series.
Since the K Active series are an amplified enclosures, when connecting their to the mixer, make
certain
always to use only signal cables (screened cables made up of two wires plus a braid/
screen) and
not power cables (speaker cables made up of just two wires, normally with a larger
cross-section): the use of unscreened cables could probably cause annoying hum and noise.
The K Active series input are balanced. Their are made in such a way that any interference on the
line is eliminated or at least greatly reduced. We therefore suggest whenever possible to use balanced
cables for connecting the enclosure to the mixer.
Take care of the connector cables very frequently source of problems. Always grip them by the
plugs never pulling the cables, and always avoid knots and twists when coiling them: they will last
longer and be more reliable. Check your cables periodically, making sure that they are in good
condition, that the connectors are correctly wired and contacts perfectly efficient: many problems
and setbacks (faulty contacts, ground hum, disturbance, etc.) are due to the use of unsuitable or
faulty cables.
