On fully Gased COils, remove Ihe coil access and plumbing panels.
Remove eny shipping clamps holding lhellquld IIna and dislributor
assembly.
Disconnecl the equalizer line Irom tho check expsnsion vilive
equalizer line flltlng on the vapor llna.
Remove Ihe vapor line tienslng bulb.
Disconnect the liquid line from the checlc eltpansion val\le al the liquid
line assembly.
Disconnect Iha chack explln6ion valve lrom the liquid line orifice
housing. Tllke care nollo twisl or damage dlslrlbUlOr lubes during this
process.
Remove and discard chllCk expellsl';lfl velve lind \he two Teflo~ rings.
Use a field· provided nlllng to temporary reconnect the liquid line to \hI
indoor un ii's liquid line orlnce hOlJslng.

system. Check the charge in Ihe flushing cylinder before
proceeding.
A Sel Ihe recovery machine lor liquid recovery and slart Ihe
recovery machine. Open 'he gauge set valves 10 allow Ihe

B Invert the cylinder 01 clean HCFC-22 and open its valve to allow
liqUid refrigerant III flo", Into Ihe syslllm through Ihe vapor IIl1e

the line 5eland the indoor unil coil before il enlellithe recovery
machlnll.
C Aller all 01 the liquid R1frigeranl has been n;loovered, switch lhe
recovery machine to vapor recovery so \hal all or Ihe HCFC·22
vapor is recovered, Allow \he recovery machine 10 pUll down /0 0
Ihellyslllm.
o Close the valve on the inverted HCFC·22 drum and lhe gauge
sel valves. Pump the remaining refrigerant oul 01 the recovery
m800lne ancllum \he machine elf.
