Chapter 1. Meet your computer

1. Air vents
Be careful not to block any air vents on the computer. Blocked air vents can cause
overheating.
2. Camera cover slider
Move the slider to cover or uncover the camera lens.
Note: The camera cover helps you better protect your privacy.
3. Camera light If the light is on, the camera is in use.
4. Integrated camera
Take pictures or record videos by clicking Camera from the Start menu.
If you use other apps that support photographing, video chatting, and video
conference, the camera starts automatically when you enable the camera-
required feature from the app.
5. Integrated microphone Capture or record sound and voice.
6. Screen
Displays text, graphics, and videos. Selected models support multi-touch
function. See “Use the multi-touch screen (for selected models)” on page 10.
7. Cable clip*
Lock cables of external devices to your computer through a cable clip to keep
your desktop organized.
