Configuringthefingerprintreader
Ifyourkeyboardhasafingerprintreader,youcanconfigurethefingerprintreaderintheSetupUtilityprogram.
TheFingerprintSetupsubmenuundertheSecuritymenuoftheSetupUtilityprogramprovidesthe
followingoptions:
•PrebootAuthentication:enablesordisablesthefingerprintauthenticationforaccessingtheBIOS.
•EraseFingerprintData:clearsthefingerprintdatastoredinafingerprintreader.
Toconfigurethefingerprintreader,dothefollowing:
1.StarttheSetupUtilityprogram.See“StartingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage95.
2.FromtheSetupUtilityprogrammainmenu,selectSecurity➙FingerprintSetup,andpressEnter.
TheFingerprintSetupwindowopens.
3.SelectPrebootAuthenticationorEraseFingerprintDataasdesired,andpressEnter.
4.SelectthedesiredsettingsandpressEnter.
5.PressF10tosavechangesandexittheSetupUtilityprogram.PressEnterwhenpromptedtoconfirm
theexit.
