Beforeyoubegin,removeallthepartsfromtherailkitpackageandlayallthepartsonaworkingsurface.
See“Railkitpackage”onpage4.Thelengthofeachsliderailrangesfrom65cm(25.6inches)when
collapsedto90cm(35.4inches)whenfullyextended.Measuretherackbeforetheinstallationtoensurethat
therackcanaccommodatethesliderail.

Toinstalltheserverintoarackcabinetusingtherailkit,dothefollowing:
1.Installtherailkitbydoingthefollowing:
a.Onarearmountingangeoftherightsideoftherackcabinet,selectaproperrackmountingarea
fortherightsliderail.Positiontherearendoftherightsliderailtothemountingareasothatthe
tabsontherearendoftherightsliderailarealignedwiththecorrespondingholesinthemounting
area.Pushtherightsliderailinthedirectionasshowninthegureuntiltherearendoftheright
sliderailisrmlysecuredtothemountingange.
Note:Theholesinamountingangeareseparatedintogroupsbymeasuringmarks.Thethree
holesbetweentwoadjacentmeasuringmarksformagroup,whichindicates1Uspace.Notethe
measuringmarksonamountingangetohelpyoucorrectlyselectarackmountingareaforthe
server.Formoreinformationabouttheplacementoftheholesinamountingange,refertothe
documentationthatcomeswiththerackcabinet.
