7 Commissioning
Preconditions for initial switch−on
ƒ The Wiring Unit is mounted and wired according to the instructions,
– directly on a motor clamping flange, or
– with the wall adapter on a suitable surface near the motor.
ƒ Connections with the mains, motor, holding brakes, etc, have been
established.
ƒ The Communication Unit was mounted and wired according to the
planned application.
– Input and output signals
– Safe input
– Fieldbus
(depending on the design, only available optionally)
ƒ If required, the basic settings for "Local mode" were carried out.
– DIP switches
– Potentiometer
ƒ The Drive Unit was mounted and wired.
ƒ Use available control functions reasonably, e.g.
– Inhibit controller enable
– Set speed setting to minimum
– Activate safety device

High hazard potential during commissioning
Incorrect settings can cause unexpected and dangerous movements
of the motor and the equipment.
Possible consequences:
ƒ Damage to material assets
ƒ Injury to persons
Protective measures:
ƒ Clear hazard area
ƒ Observe safety instructions and safety distances
