8.2 Before sw itching on
1
Note!
Before sw itch-on, you must ensure th at the m otor starts w ith the
intended direction of rotation.
Lenze motors rotate CW (looking at the driven shaft) if a clockwise
three-phase field L1 ^ U1, L2 ^ V 1 , L3 ^ W 1 is applied.
Before initial com m issioning, before com missioning after an extended standstill
period, or before comm issioning after an overhaul of the motor, the fo llow ing m ust be
checked:
M easure the insulation resistance, in case o f values <1 kQper volt of rated
voltage, dry the w inding.
Have all screwed connections o f the mechanical and electrical parts been firm ly
tightened?
Is the unrestricted supply and removal of cooling air ensured?
Has the PE conductor been connected correctly?
Have the protective devices against overheating (tem perature sensor evaluation)
been activated?
Is the controller correctly param eterised for the motor?
(@ Controller operating instructions)
Are the electrical connections o.k.?
Does the m otor connection have the correct phase sequence?
Are rotating parts and surfaces w hich can become very hot protected against
accidental contact?
Is the contact o f good electrical conductivity if a PE connection on the m otor
