6 Troubleshooting and Support
6.1 Troubleshooting for Operation with PLC
The integrated PLC provides status and error signals. However, the source of error cannot be identified by
these signals. For detailed analysis and debugging it is recommended to use the Levitronix
Service Software
(see below). Alternatively, the Status, Error, Warning and Message bytes can be read using Modbus
commands on the RS485 interface. The firmware specification document, available at the Levitronix
®
Technical Service Department (see below), contains all details for configuration and interpretation of these
commands.
6.2 Troubleshooting with Service Software
The Levitronix
Service Software allows communication with the bearingless fan in connection with a PC and
an RS485 to USB converter (see Table 2).
The Service Software can be used to operate the system, for troubleshooting, parameter logging and user
specific system configuration. For usage of the Service Software contact the technical support (below).
