SACD Playback 2ch Area, Multi-ch Area, CD Area
Controls SACD output format when an SACD is loaded and the RT-
10 is using the digital audio output connector. This parameter set-
ting has no effect when another disc format is loaded.
SACDs can include up to three different audio tracks – a stereo
track, a multi-channel track, and, on hybrid SACDs, a 16-bit, 44kHz
PCM (standard CD) track. Select 2ch Area to select the stereo track
for playback. Select Multi-ch Area to select the multi-channel track
for playback. Select CD Area to select the standard CD track for
playback.
If the selected track is not available on the loaded SACD, the RT-10
will automatically select an alternate track. For instance, if the
SACD Playback parameter is set to CD Area and a non-hybrid SACD
is loaded, the RT-10 will automatically select the stereo track.
