• If the engine starts, ensure that the parking brake is set before releasing the
brake pedal and exiting the vehicle. Disconnect the jump-start connections in
reverse order and reinstall any covers removed to access the battery
• If the engine fails to start, turn the key OFF and remove it from the ignition
before checking the jump-start connections
