5-2. Steps to take in an emergency
If the retractable hardtop does not close
Unlocking the trunk lid
Push the trunk lid opener switch.
If the opener does not work, follow these procedures.

1. Lift up the mat in the lower box
contained in the console box.
2. Open the cover.
3. Pull the loop of wire.
If the retractable hardtop does not close, check the conditions for the retract-
able hardtop operating. (P.51)
Although the conditions are met, if the retractable hardtop does not close,
close it manually following the procedure below.
Be sure to have the system checked by your Lexus dealer as soon as possible.
