Usage Features

Starting the TV:

  • The TV can be turned on/off, and menus can be accessed and adjusted using the button on the TV itself.
  • Initial setup takes approximately one minute when first shipped.
  • The device should be easily accessible to a power outlet.

Connections:

  • HDMI: Connects to Blu-ray players, HD receivers, game consoles, etc. Supports HDMI Deep Color for clearer pictures (can be turned off if the device doesn't support it). Requires certified HDMI cables.
  • USB: Connects to USB storage devices. Some USB hubs may not work; direct connection to the TV's USB port is recommended. Optimal connection requires USB devices/cables with specific bezel dimensions.
  • IR Blaster: Controls external devices like set-top boxes, Blu-ray/DVD players, soundbars, and game consoles. Requires connection to the TV's IR Blaster port and universal control settings.
  • Antenna/Cable: Connects to an antenna, cable, or cable box for watching TV. Uses a 75 Ω RF cable (copper wire, avoid bending). A signal splitter can be used for multiple TVs.
  • Remote RS-232C Setup: Allows external control of the TV via a computer or A/V control system. Requires a USB to Serial (RS-232C) converter (PL2303 chip-based recommended) or an RS-232C (DE9, D-Sub 9pin female-to-female) cable, depending on the TV model. Set ID can be adjusted from 1-99 (0 for controlling all connected sets).

Remote Control Commands (via RS-232C):

Maintenance Features

Safety Instructions:

  • Read and keep the manual. Heed all warnings and follow instructions.
  • Do not use near water, clean with dry cloth only.
  • Ensure proper ventilation; do not block openings.
  • Avoid heat sources.
  • Do not defeat safety purpose of polarized/grounding plugs.
  • Protect power cord from damage.
  • Use only manufacturer-specified attachments/accessories.
  • Use with specified cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table.
  • Unplug during lightning storms or long periods of disuse.
  • Refer servicing to qualified personnel for damage.
  • Prevent fire: keep open flames away.
  • Avoid placing TV in high humidity, near heat sources, in dusty places, or where it can be exposed to steam, oil, rain, wind, or flammable objects.
  • Ensure proper ventilation; do not install in confined spaces or on carpets/cushions.
  • Protect power cord from physical abuse; grasp plug, not cord, when unplugging.
  • Do not connect too many devices to one AC outlet.
  • Power plug is the disconnecting device; keep it accessible.
  • Prevent children from climbing on the TV.
  • Follow outdoor antenna grounding precautions (NEC Section 810).
  • Do not touch apparatus/antenna during lightning storms.
  • Ensure secure power cord connection.
  • Do not insert metallic/inflammable objects into the product.
  • Do not touch the end of the power cord when plugged in.
  • Unplug immediately and contact customer service if damaged, liquid enters, smoke/odor, lightning strikes, or if unused for long periods.
  • Avoid high voltage electrical equipment near the TV.
  • Do not modify the product without authorization.
  • Do not disassemble AC adapter/power cord.
  • Handle adapter carefully.
  • Do not touch TV with wet hands; ensure dry power plug.
  • Store batteries safely, do not short circuit, disassemble, overheat, or dispose of in fire.
  • Move the TV carefully with multiple people, ensuring it's off, unplugged, and all cables are removed. Avoid pressing/stressing the front panel.
  • Keep packing materials away from children.
  • Avoid impact shock, dropping objects, or pressing/scratching the screen.

Cleaning:

  • Unplug the power cord.
  • Wipe gently with a soft/dry cloth.
  • Do not spray water or liquids directly on the TV.
  • Avoid chemicals like glass cleaner, air freshener, insecticide, lubricants, wax, abrasives, thinner, benzene, or alcohol.
  • Be careful not to allow liquid or foreign objects into the gap between the panel and guide panel.
  • Wring out excess water/cleaner from the cloth.
  • Spray just enough water/cleaner onto a dry cloth to wipe the screen.

Troubleshooting:

  • Remote control issues: Check for obstructions, replace batteries, ensure no tape on receiver.
  • No image/sound: Check if TV is on, power cord connection, and wall outlet.
  • Sudden TV shutdown: Check power control settings, auto-off function.
  • Abnormal display: Small flicker on startup is normal. Tiny black/colored dots (1 ppm) are normal. Brightness/color may vary by viewing position. Avoid prolonged touching of screen. Avoid displaying still images for extended periods to prevent image sticking.
  • Generated sound: Cracking noise from plastic thermal contraction due to temperature/humidity is normal. Low-level humming/buzzing from high-speed switching circuit is normal.
