How to maintain the exhaust system of my LG Dryer?
    • R
      Reginald RobertsAug 4, 2025
To ensure safe and efficient operation of your LG Dryer, do not use the dryer until the exhaust system has been properly cleaned or repaired. Using the dryer with a severely restricted exhaust system can lead to property damage. Check the outside dryer vent while the dryer is running. If the exhaust system is extremely long, have it repaired or rerouted. Keep the area around the dryer clean and free of clutter. Inspect the vent hood for any damage or lint clogging, and make sure the area around the vent hood is clear.

What to do if FLOW SENSE indicator shows four bars on my LG DLE4970 E?
    • K
      kmclaughlinAug 17, 2025
If the FLOW SENSE indicator on your LG Dryer displays four bars during the drying cycle, it means the dryer is sensing exhaust restrictions. This could be due to several reasons: the ductwork may have too many turns or restrictions, there might be lint buildup or debris in the ductwork, or there could be a restriction in the external dryer venting. You can install a shorter or straighter duct run. The ductwork should be checked and cleaned soon. The dryer can still be used, but drying times might be longer. Note that the FLOW SENSE indicator will remain on for two hours after the cycle ends if exhaust restrictions are sensed, but this can be cleared by opening the door or pressing the POWER button.
