Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for extending the life of the washing machine:

  • Care After Wash: Wipe the door and door seal to remove moisture, leave the door open to dry the drum, and wipe the body with a dry cloth.
  • Cleaning the Exterior: Wash with a damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth. Immediately wipe off spills.
  • Cleaning the Interior: Wipe around the door opening and door glass. Run the "Tub Clean" program once a month (or more often if needed) to remove detergent buildup.
  • Cleaning the Water Inlet Filter: Turn off taps, unscrew the supply hose, and clean the filter with a hard bristle brush. This should be done occasionally, especially in areas with hard water.
  • Cleaning the Drain Pump Filter: Open the cover cap, pull out the hose, unplug the drain plug, and turn the filter counterclockwise to remove any foreign matter. Ensure water is cooled before cleaning.
  • Cleaning the Dispenser Drawer: Remove the drawer and inserts, rinse with warm water, and clean the recess with a cloth or small, non-metal brush.
  • Tub Clean (Optional): A special program to clean the inside of the washing machine using a higher water level and spin speed. Remove all clothing, add anti-limescale to the main wash compartment (or tablets to the drum), and run the cycle.
  • Caution on Freezing During Winter: Install the product where it will not freeze. If freezing occurs, pour warm water (50-60°C) into the drum, close the door, and wait 1-2 hours. Ensure all water is drained from the pump and hoses.

Troubleshooting

The manual provides solutions for common problems:

  • Rattling and clanking noise: Check pockets for foreign objects, close zippers and hooks.
  • Thumping sound: Redistribute wash load if unbalanced.
  • Vibrating noise: Ensure transit bolts are removed and feet are level.
  • Water leaks: Tighten hose connections, unclog drain pipes.
  • Oversudsing: Use the recommended amount of detergent.
  • Water not entering/entering slowly: Check water supply, ensure taps are fully open, straighten kinked hoses, clean inlet filters.
  • Water not draining/draining slowly: Clean and straighten drain hose, clean drain filter.
  • Washing machine not starting: Check power cord, reset circuit breaker/fuse, turn on water supply tap.
  • Washing machine not spinning: Ensure door is firmly shut, redistribute load if unbalanced.
  • Door not opening: Check if "Door Lock" icon is illuminated.
  • Wash cycle time delayed: Normal if imbalance or suds removal program is active.
  • Fabric softener overflow/dispensed too early: Follow softener guidelines, do not exceed max fill line, close dispenser drawer slowly.
  • Dry problem: Do not overload, check water supply tap.

The display shows specific error codes for diagnosis:

  • IE: Water supply inadequate or inlet filter clogged.
