If the refrigerator was recently plugged in or the power was restored, it can take up to 24 hours to cool completely. Frequent door openings or adding large amounts of food, especially hot food, can also increase cooling time. Ensure the doors are closed completely and that the refrigerator is not installed in a hot location (above 110°F). A clogged condenser or back cover can also cause this issue; clean it with a vacuum cleaner attachment. To conserve energy, minimize door openings, organize food for easy access, and promptly close the door.

  Several factors can affect ice production in your LG Refrigerator. The demand may exceed the ice storage capacity, as the icemaker produces approximately 70-120 cubes in 24 hours. Ensure your refrigerator is connected to a cold water supply with adequate pressure and that the water shutoff valve is fully open. A depleted water filter, low water supply pressure, a kinked water supply line, or a freezer temperature set too warm (the recommended temperature is 0°F) can also be causes. If you have a reverse osmosis filtration system, refer to the Water Pressure section. Lowering the refrigerator temperature and reducing how often you open the doors can help.

  If your LG Refrigerator or freezer section is too warm, it may take up to 24 hours for each compartment to reach the desired temperature after installation. Check for blocked air vents and ensure they are free from obstructions. Reduce the frequency and duration of door openings. Allow hot food to cool before placing it in the refrigerator. Make sure the doors are closing correctly. Refer to the Setting the Controls section for proper temperature settings. If the defrost cycle has recently completed, wait 30 minutes to see if the proper temperature is restored.

  If water is not dispensing from your LG Refrigerator, ensure the refrigerator is properly connected to the water supply and the shutoff valve is fully open. If it's a new installation or the water line was recently connected or the water filter has been recently replaced or removed, dispense 2.5 gallons of water to remove trapped air and contaminants. Check if the dispenser panel is locked and unlock it by pressing and holding the Lock button for three seconds. Also, make sure that the refrigerator or freezer doors are closed properly. Inspect the tubing connecting the refrigerator to the house supply valve for any kinks and straighten them out.

Ensure the refrigerator is leveled correctly; refer to the Door Alignment section for leveling instructions.

Why does my LG GS73SGG Refrigerator dispense warm water?

  If your LG Refrigerator is dispensing warm water, allow 24 hours after installation for the water storage tank to cool completely. If the water dispenser has been used recently and the storage tank is exhausted, keep in mind the water storage capacity ranges from approximately 20 to 30 oz, depending on the model. If the dispenser hasn't been used for several hours, discard the first 10 oz. Also, ensure the refrigerator is connected to a cold water pipe, not a hot water supply.

Also, verify that the dispenser display is not locked by pressing and holding the Lock button for three seconds. If the ice bin is empty, it may take up to 90 minutes for additional ice to become available.

  If the refrigerator and freezer sections of your LG refrigerator are not cooling, ensure the refrigerator control is turned ON. If the refrigerator is set to Demo Mode, disable it. If the refrigerator was recently installed or relocated, allow up to 24 hours for each compartment to reach the desired temperature. If the refrigerator was stored for a long period or moved on its side, let it stand upright for 24 hours before connecting it to power. Refer to the Setting the Controls section for proper temperature settings.
