REFRIGERANT PIPING
INSTALLATION OF OUT DOOR UNIT
Perform the work according to the Service
Manual or Installation Guide.
Select a location that satisfies the following
conditions. Install the unit firmly in place.
■ Select the following location
• A place where the air conditioner can
get good ventilation.
• A place where it shall not annoy the
neighbors.
• A place where the unit shall be leveled
and that can support the weight of unit
and withstand its vibrations.
■ Keep a maintenance space

• Use two spanners when connect the
refrigerant pipe to the unit.
• Make a bend with a radius as large as
possible.
• After completing the piping connection,
execute vacuum drying for the connecting
piping and the indoor unit.
• The vacuum drying must be carried out
using the service ports of both the liquid
and gas side valves.
• When piping work is finished, check all
joints.
■ Add refrigerant if piping is over 7.5m.
