  If the ice in your LG refrigerator has a bad taste or odor, it could be due to minerals in the water supply, in which case a water filter may be needed. If the icemaker was recently installed, discard the first few batches of ice. If the ice has been stored for too long, throw it away and make a new supply. Ensure food is stored properly and rewrap it if necessary. Clean the interior of the refrigerator and the ice storage bin.

  If your LG refrigerator is dispensing warm water, it may be because the refrigerator was recently installed and needs 24 hours for the water storage tank to cool. If the water dispenser has been used recently, the storage tank may be exhausted. If the dispenser hasn't been used for several hours, discard the first 10 oz. Ensure the refrigerator is connected to a cold water pipe.

  If the water from your LG refrigerator has a bad taste or odor, the water supply may contain minerals such as sulfur, requiring a water filter. If the water filter has been exhausted, replace it approximately every 6 months or when the water filter indicator turns on. If the refrigerator was recently installed, dispense 2.5 gallons of water to remove trapped air and contaminants.
