Why is my LG Refrigerator icemaker making too much ice?
    • V
      Victor CarrSep 10, 2025
Your LG Refrigerator icemaker might be making too much ice because the icemaker shutoff (arm/sensor) is obstructed. Empty the ice bin and make sure that the arm moves freely.

Why is my LG Refrigerator icemaker not making enough ice?
    • M
      Melinda Morgan DVMAug 22, 2025
Your LG Refrigerator icemaker may not be making enough ice because the demand exceeds its capacity, which is approximately 70~182 cubes in 24 hours. Check if the house water supply is connected, the valve is fully open, and not clogged. Consider replacing the water filter every six months. Low water pressure or a kinked water supply line can also be the cause. Reverse osmosis filtration systems can also reduce water pressure.

Why is my LG LMXS30796S not dispensing water?
    • K
      Kristie StevensonAug 25, 2025
If your LG Refrigerator is not dispensing water, it could be due to a new installation or recently connected water line; dispense 2.5 gallons of water to remove trapped air. Check if the dispenser panel is locked by pressing and holding the Lock button for three seconds. Ensure the dispenser is set for water dispensing by pressing the Water button. Make sure the refrigerator or freezer doors are closed properly. If the water filter was recently replaced, dispense 2.5 gallons of water. Check for a kinked water line or ensure the house water supply is connected and the valve is fully open.

Your LG Refrigerator may not be dispensing ice if the doors are not closed completely. If you don't use the dispenser often, check the ice bin for clumps and break them up. The delivery chute could be clogged with frost or ice fragments; remove the ice bin and clear the chute with a plastic utensil. Also, check if the dispenser display is locked by pressing and holding the Lock button for three seconds. Ensure the ice bin is not empty and the shutoff arm/sensor is not obstructed.

Why I'm having trouble connecting my LG LMXS30796S Refrigerator to Wi-Fi?
    • F
      fdaviesAug 29, 2025
If you're having trouble connecting your LG Refrigerator to Wi-Fi, it could be due to an incorrectly entered Wi-Fi password; delete your home Wi-Fi network and begin the registration process again. Turn off the Mobile data on your smartphone. The wireless network name (SSID) should be a combination of English letters and numbers. Ensure the router frequency is 2.4 GHz. Move the router closer to the appliance or purchase a Wi-Fi repeater if the distance is too far.

      Scott AcevedoSep 18, 2025
