Why won't my LG Air Conditioner start?

  If your LG Air Conditioner isn't starting, first ensure it's fully plugged into the outlet. Check your house's fuse or circuit breaker box and replace the fuse or reset the breaker if needed. If there was a power failure, turn the mode control to off, wait 3 minutes after power is restored, and then restart the unit. Also, check the current interrupter device by pressing the RESET button on the power cord plug. If 'FL' appears on the display, it means the water collection tank is full, so drain it and reset your settings.

Check for escaping cold air and address any issues with registers and cold air returns. Finally, refer to 'Air conditioner freezing up' if the cooling coils have iced up.

  If the remote sensing on your LG Air Conditioner is deactivating too soon, make sure the remote control is within a 20-foot range and within a 120° radius of the front of the unit. Also, ensure that there are no obstructions blocking the remote control signal.
