What to do if my LG WM2301HW won’t turn on?
    • R
      Rodney CobbAug 20, 2025
If your LG washer won't turn on, first ensure the power cord is properly plugged into a grounded, 3-prong, 120-VAC, 60-Hz outlet. Also, check if the house fuse is blown, the circuit breaker has tripped, or a power outage has occurred. Reset the circuit breaker or replace the fuse, without increasing its capacity. If the problem is a circuit overload, have it corrected by a qualified electrician.

Why is my LG Washer leaking water?
    • J
      Joshua GrimesAug 22, 2025
If you notice water leaking around your LG washer, check the fill hose connections at both the tap and the washer to ensure they are tight. If the connections are secure, the house drain pipes may be clogged. Try to unclog the drain pipe yourself, or contact a plumber if necessary.

Why is my LG WM2301HW Washer not spinning?
    • A
      Ashley PrinceAug 25, 2025
If your LG washer won’t spin, first make sure that the door is closed properly and press the START/PAUSE button. After starting a cycle, it may take a few moments before the drum begins to turn or spin. The washer will not spin unless the door is locked (DOOR LOCK will appear in the display). If the door is closed and locked and the open door error message is displayed, call for service.

What to do if my LG WM2301HW door will not unlock?
    • J
      James JonesAug 26, 2025
If the door of your LG washer will not unlock when the cycle is stopped or paused, it could be due to a couple of reasons. The interior temperature of the washer might be too high, in which case you should allow the washer to cool until the DOOR LOCK indicator turns off. Alternatively, the water level in the washer may be too high; allow the washer to complete the programmed cycle, or run the DRAIN & SPIN cycle to drain the water.

What to do if my LG WM2301HW Washer drains slowly?
    • C
      Charles BryantAug 27, 2025
If water in your LG washer drains slowly or not at all, make sure the drain hose is free of clogs, kinks, etc., and is not pinched behind or under the washer. Also, clean the drain filter.

Why does my LG Washer display an error code related to load imbalance?
    • R
      Rhonda MaddenAug 29, 2025
The error code is displayed because the washer has an imbalance detection and correction system. If individual heavy articles are loaded (bath mat, bath robe, etc.) and the imbalance is too great, the washer will make several attempts to restart the spin cycle. If an imbalance is still detected, the washer will stop and the error code will be displayed. Add 1 or 2 similar items to help balance the load, or rearrange items to help balance the load.
  • J
    James ReevesAug 31, 2025
Why is my LG Washer making a vibrating noise?
    • J
      Joshua JohnsonAug 31, 2025
A vibrating noise in your LG washer can occur due to several reasons. First, ensure that the shipping bolts and packaging materials have been removed according to the Installation Instructions. Second, the wash load might be unevenly distributed; stop the washer and rearrange the load. Third, check if all leveling feet are firmly on the floor and adjust them if necessary. Finally, ensure the floor is solid and doesn't flex.

How to fix musty odor in my LG Washer?

      Kevin LoganSep 2, 2025
To address a musty or mildewy odor in your LG washer: * Use only HE (High-Efficiency) detergent according to the manufacturer’s instructions. * Regularly run the TUB CLEAN cycle and wipe around and under the door seal frequently. * Clean around the door seal and glass by wiping dry the door seal, glass, and door opening area, as well as around the inner drum and lower door seal.

    • K
      kbennettSep 4, 2025

How to prevent staining in my LG WM2301HW Washer?
    • M
      Michelle MahoneySep 6, 2025
To prevent staining in your LG washer: * Load laundry products into the dispenser, not directly into the drum. * Remove items from the washer promptly after the cycle is completed. * Wash dark colors separately from light colors and whites to prevent discoloration, and avoid washing heavily soiled items with lightly soiled ones.
