How to prevent staining in my LG WT1701C?

  Staining can occur if bleach or softener is dispensed too soon, added directly to the wash load, or if clothes aren't sorted properly, or items were not removed promptly. Make sure the dispenser compartment isn't overfilled. Always measure bleach (one cup maximum) to prevent immediate dispensing. Close the dispenser drawer carefully. Always use dispensers to ensure proper dispensing at the correct time. Remove items promptly after the cycle, and wash dark colors separately from light colors and whites. Avoid washing heavily soiled items with lightly soiled ones.

  Excessive sudsing is usually caused by using too much detergent or the incorrect type of detergent. Use only detergents with the High-Efficiency (HE) logo, as they contain suds-reducing agents. Refer to the How to Use section for correct detergent quantities.

  Vibrating noise can occur if packaging materials weren't removed, the wash load is uneven, the leveling feet aren't firmly on the floor, or the floor isn't rigid enough. Refer to the Unpacking and Removing Shipping Material section in the installation requirements. Pause the cycle and redistribute the load after the lid unlocks. See Leveling the Washer in the Installation Instructions. Ensure the floor is solid and doesn't flex; refer to Flooring in the Installation Requirements section.

Why is my LG Washing machine making a thumping sound?

  A thumping sound can be normal with heavy wash loads or if the load is out of balance. If the sound continues, the washer is likely out of balance. Stop the washer and redistribute the wash load. Pause the cycle and redistribute the load after the lid unlocks.
