MTS Decoder
THE PRODUCT
This high-capacity Multi-Train
System decoder is designed for
installation in LGB locomotives
with “D” gearboxes, decoder inter-
faces or "Direct Decoder" inter-
faces, including most current LGB
locos. (It can also be installed in
many other LGB locos.)
Unlike conventional digital
receivers, the MTS decoder fea-
tures an internal memory for more
reliable operation on dirty track
and automatic switching for use
on both traditional analog and
Multi-Train System layouts.
Caution! This product is not
weather-resistant. Protect this
product from moisture.
Hint: These instructions are only
for the included decoder. They
should not be used for older
decoders.

WARNING! For safety reasons,
round lighting sockets on older
LGB locomotives must be discon-
nected. On electric locos, the
pantographs on the roof must be
disconnected.
Hints:
- During installation, loco and
decoder must not be connected
to a power source.
- Locos with two motors need two
decoders. Program both to the
same address.
- The decoder has to be installed
in a dry and protected location.
Install the decoder in a dry and
level location using the enclosed
mounting tape. Make sure the
decoder won't touch metal
parts. Be careful not to pinch the
decoder or wires during
reassembly of the loco.
Attention! The following are not
complete instructions for decoder
