1 Foreword
This User Manual describes the Microface Control System. It contains information
concerning the architecture of the control system as well as the settings required
to obtain the desired behaviour of the Unit.
The Microface Control System has been especially developed to effectively
manage all the individual functions of air conditioning units.
2 The Microface
2.1 Introduction
The Microface is a microprocessor-based electronic controller, which manages
and controls automatically any processes of the unit. The Microface is installed
inside the electrical panel of the unit and is completed by the LCD display module,
containing the keyboard (3 no. keys) for the input of data and the LCD (Liquid
Crystal Display) to show any data like settings, current values and alarm
messages. These components allow for a quick and easy programming and set-
up of the unit.
2.2 Modules of Microface Control System
Microface controller consist of two modules:
1. The Microface printed circuit board, which controls the operation of the unit
2. The LCD display module with keyboard and display, which allows to
read/set/reset values, parameters and alarms
The connection between both modules (p.c.b. and display) is made by a 8pole
connecting cable (for details see chapter 2.3 and 2.4 of this manual).
