  If the supply air from your Lifebreath Fan feels cold, check if the 1/4” (6 mm) mesh on the outside hoods, filters, or core are plugged. Ensure house grilles are open and not blocked, and that dampers (if installed) are open. A poor power supply, restricted ductwork, improper speed control setting, or an improperly balanced HRV/ERV airflow could also be the cause. The location of supply grilles and extremely cold outdoor temperatures can also contribute to this issue. Also, check for improper low voltage connections or external low voltage shorts.

  If you notice condensation or ice build-up in the insulated duct to the outside of your Lifebreath Fan system, check for plugged drain pans, improper connections of the HRV/ERV's drain lines, or if the HRV/ERV is not level. Also, ensure drain lines are not obstructed and that the HRV/ERV heat exchange core is properly installed.
