If the filter does not darken when an arc is struck, several factors could be the cause. First, the sensitivity might be set too low; try adjusting it to the required level. The front cover lens could be dirty or damaged, so clean or replace it as needed. Ensure that the sensors or solar panel are not blocked by your arm or any other obstacle, and adjust your position to allow the sensors a clear view of the weld arc. Finally, verify that the grind mode is not selected and that the proper shade is selected.
