The Lincoln Model 967 Series "B" Electronic Lube Meter is a sophisticated device designed for the precise dispensing of various automotive fluids. Its primary function is to accurately measure and control the flow of motor oils (SAE 5-50), gear oils (SAE 80-240), automatic transmission fluid, and antifreeze (Ethylene Glycol) solution.
The core of the meter's operation lies in its electronic register module, which houses a microprocessor board powered by a Lithium battery. As fluid passes through the metering chamber, it displaces a piston. Each oscillation of this piston displaces a known volume of fluid. A magnet attached to the piston's center hub rotates, activating the microprocessor to count these oscillations. This data is then translated into a precise measurement of the dispensed fluid.
The meter features a large, 5-digit LCD display, 5/16" high, with two decimal point precision, showing the exact amount of fluid dispensed. Users can reset the totalizer to zero before each use by depressing the RESET button. Squeezing the trigger handle initiates fluid dispensing. The total amount of fluid dispensed from inventory can be checked periodically by depressing the TOTAL button. If the units dispensed are pints, quarts, or gallons, the totalizer will read in gallons. If the units dispensed are liters, the totalizer will read in liters.
The electronic lube meter offers several user-friendly features:
The meter's programming switch, located on the underside of the module, is used to activate programming procedures.
