Linksys PAP2T Setup and VoIP Configuration Guide
Before You Begin, make sure you have the following:
• An active Internet connection
• An active Internet phone service account and its settings
• A cable/DSL modem
• One computer for configuration of the Phone Adapter
• An analog telephone or fax machine with an RJ-11 phone cable.
I. Connect the Phone Adapter
STEP 1 Connect the included Ethernet network cable to the INTERNET port of the Internet Phone
Adapter. Connect the other end to one of your router’s Ethernet ports.
STEP 2
Connect the included power adapter to the POWER port of the Internet Phone Adapter.Connect the
other end to an electrical outlet.
STEP 3 Using a telephone cable, connect your telephone to the PHONE 1 port of the Internet Phone
Adapter.
STEP 4 If you have a second Internet phone service account, then connect another telephone or a
fax machine to the PHONE 2 port of the Internet Phone Adapter.
STEP 5 The Power, Ethernet, and Phone LEDs will be solidly lit when the Internet Phone Adapter is
ready for use.
