Step 4:
Connect an ethernet cable to the child node and connect the other end of the cable to the
parent node. The nodes will automatically switch to a wired connection.
For nodes with multiple ports, connect an ethernet cable to the internet port of the child node
and connect the other end of the cable to a LAN port on the parent node.
Step 5:
If you have other nodes to add, repeat Steps 2-3 but connect the additional child nodes to the
upstream node instead of connecting them to the parent node.
You have now set up a wired Velop system. Keep in mind that the nodes need to be plugged
into a power source. They do not provide power over ethernet (non-PoE); however, they can
use managed or unmanaged switches. To learn more, click here.
