Replacing the interior lamp
T
he interior of your Trolley is illuminated by one
lamp, Lionel part no. 600-8352-311. During the
course of normal operations, this lamp may require
replacement. Replacement lamps are available at
your authorized Lionel Service Center or from Lionel
Service in Chesterfield, MI. Refer to Figure 2.
1. Remove the two screws from the underside of the
Trolley. The screws are recessed in the frame.
2. Lift off the roof.
3. Locate the expired lamp and pull it straight up
and out of the socket.
4. Install the replacement lamp.
5. Reposition the roof and reinstall the two screws on the underside of the frame.
The headlights are illuminated by LEDs which are expected to last for the lifetime of
this product. See your authorized Lionel Service Center for service.

Lubricating the gears
Y
our Trolley will operate best with regular care and maintenance. We recommend that you
purchase a Lionel Lubrication and Maintenance Kit (available separately, 6-62927) to
lubricate this unit. Two rules to keep in mind: never over-lubricate (a small amount of
lubrication will do), and avoid getting grease or oil on the wheels, pick-up contacts, or the track.
Lubricate your Trolley when the axle bearings appear dry. Refer to Figure 1. Remove dirt and
dust before lubricating, and always lubricate your Trolley when you bring it out of storage.
