The primary function of this device is to brew coffee. It is a programmable coffee maker, meaning users can set a specific time for the appliance to automatically start brewing. This feature allows for fresh coffee to be ready at a desired time, such as in the morning. The coffee maker also includes a "keep warm" function, which maintains the temperature of the brewed coffee for a period after brewing is complete. The intensity of the coffee aroma can be adjusted, offering a personalized brewing experience.
To use the coffee maker, users first need to fill the water tank with the appropriate amount of drinking water, up to 1500ml. Ground coffee is then added to the nylon filter, which is placed in the funnel. The amount of coffee can be adjusted based on personal taste, with a general guideline of one spoon of ground coffee powder per cup for top-grade coffee. After covering the water tank, the appliance is connected to a power source. The display will show "12:00" initially.
For immediate brewing, the user presses the ON/OFF button once. A red indicator light will illuminate, and water will begin to drip out automatically. Once brewing is finished, the coffee maker will keep the coffee warm for 35 minutes. A convenient feature allows users to temporarily remove the carafe during brewing for up to 30 seconds without causing overflow from the funnel.
The programmable feature allows for setting both the current time and a preset time for automatic brewing. By pressing the PROG button, users can navigate between setting the current time (CLOCK) and the auto power-on time (TIMER) using the HOUR and MIN keys. The time can be set from 0:00 to 23:59.
To activate the auto-preparation mode, the ON/OFF button is pressed twice. A blue indicator light will turn on, indicating that the unit is in the auto-preparation state. When the reservation time arrives, the blue lamp will turn off, and the red lamp will turn on, signifying that the unit has entered the coffee-making state. Pressing the ON/OFF button a third time will turn off the red indicator and stop the coffee maker, returning it to a waiting state.
The coffee maker also offers an aroma intensity selection. By pushing the "Mode" button, users can choose between "one," "two," or "three" coffee beans, corresponding to different levels of aroma intensity.
The appliance is designed for indoor, household use and similar environments such as staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments, farm houses, and by clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments, including bed and breakfast type environments. It is not intended to be operated by an external timer or separate remote control system.
Proper maintenance is crucial for the longevity and hygiene of the coffee maker. Before cleaning, it is essential to cut off the power source and allow the coffee maker to cool down completely. The housing of the coffee maker, the water tank, drip tray, and glass jar should be cleaned regularly with a damp, soft cloth and then dried. It is important not to use alcohol or solvent cleansers and never to immerse the housing in water.
For thorough cleaning, the metal funnel can be detached by turning it clockwise. This allows for the removal of coffee residue and subsequent cleaning.
Descaling is another important maintenance task. To descale the appliance, a mixture of one part white vinegar and three parts cold water should be poured into the tank. The appliance is then connected, and the on/off button is pressed to start brewing. This process should be repeated as necessary until the appliance is descaled.
The appliance is designed with food contact in mind, emphasizing the necessity of keeping it clean at all times. Specific instructions for cleaning surfaces in contact with food are provided in the "cleaning" paragraph of the manual.
The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use, so caution should be exercised during and after operation. The coffee maker should not be placed in a cabinet when in use.
