Overview

The Livoo Soup Maker is a versatile kitchen appliance designed to simplify the preparation of various hot and cold dishes, primarily focusing on soups, but also capable of blending, heating, and even boiling eggs. This user manual provides comprehensive instructions for safe and effective operation, emphasizing user safety and proper maintenance.

Function Description

The core function of the Livoo Soup Maker is to create smooth and chunky soups. It integrates both heating and blending capabilities, allowing users to cook ingredients and then blend them to their desired consistency within the same jug. The appliance features several pre-set programs tailored for different preparations:

  • Smooth Soup Program: This program automatically heats and blends ingredients to achieve a smooth consistency. It runs for approximately 20 minutes, with the blending action occurring in the final minutes of the cycle.
  • Chunky Soup Program: Designed for soups with a more textured consistency, this program heats ingredients for about 30 minutes. While it heats, it does not automatically blend to a smooth consistency, allowing users to achieve their preferred chunkiness. If a finer texture is desired, users may need to manually blend the soup after the program finishes.
  • Blend Program: This function allows for blending ingredients without the heating element being activated. It is ideal for making smoothies, dressings, or achieving a specific consistency after a heating program. The blending process runs for 3 minutes automatically.
  • Heat Up Program: This program is specifically for reheating pre-cooked food. It stirs and heats the contents alternatively for approximately 10 minutes, ensuring even warming.
  • Pulse Program: This feature provides short bursts of blending, useful for achieving precise consistency, breaking down stubborn stains during cleaning, or for quick blending tasks. Each pulse cycle should not exceed 30 seconds.
  • Boiling Eggs and Steam Basket Use: Beyond soups, the appliance can boil eggs or steam other ingredients using the provided egg basket or steam basket. This function heats water without blending, with a default cooking time of 15 minutes (adjustable from 0-30 minutes).

Usage Features

The Livoo Soup Maker is designed for ease of use with a clear control panel and intuitive operation.

  • Control Panel: The appliance features an ON/OFF button, program selection buttons (Smooth Soup, Chunky Soup, Blend, Heat Up, Pulse, Boiling Eggs/Steam), and a display that shows time. LEDs illuminate to indicate the selected function and operational status.
  • Safety Mechanisms: The appliance incorporates several safety features. It will not operate if the lid is not securely fitted, indicated by an audible beep and flashing LEDs if there's an issue. It also has overheating protection, which will cause all LEDs to flash and a beep to sound if activated, requiring the appliance to cool down. The motor unit will shut off automatically if the cover is lifted during operation.
  • Jug and Lid Design: The blender jug has clear "MAX" and "MIN" level indicators to prevent overfilling or underfilling. The lid features a locking mechanism, requiring rotation to align with open and closed lock symbols for secure placement. A measuring cup is integrated into the lid.
  • Ingredient Preparation: For optimal performance and safety, ingredients should be chopped, peeled, sliced, or cubed into small, 2-3 cm pieces. Frozen ingredients must be thawed before use. Meat or fish should be precooked.
  • Stainless Steel Filter: A unique feature is the stainless-steel filter, which allows for dual-consistency soups. Ingredients placed inside the filter are smoothed, while those outside remain unblended, creating a soup with both smooth and chunky elements. The filter has a finer and a coarser side, offering control over the size of unblended pieces.
  • Placement and Handling: The appliance should be placed on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Users are cautioned not to hold the appliance by the top handle when the jug is full, as it may tip over. The jug and lid can become very hot during use, so care should be taken when handling.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual includes a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the appliance not working, flashing LEDs, food burning, or improper cooking/blending, offering solutions like checking connections, cooling down the appliance, cleaning, or adjusting ingredient quantities.

Maintenance Features

Proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and safe operation of the Livoo Soup Maker.

  • General Cleaning: Before any cleaning, assembly, or disassembly, the appliance must be unplugged. The inside of the bowl can be cleaned with a little soapy water. The blade, egg basket, and filter should be washed under running hot water with caution. The outside of the appliance should be wiped with a soft cloth.
  • Stubborn Stains: For stubborn stains, the Pulse program can be used with 750 ml of hot water and a small amount of mild detergent. For tough stains, it's recommended to let the hot water sit in the Soup Maker for 10-15 minutes before running the pulse program.
  • Prohibited Cleaning Methods: The appliance must never be immersed in water. Wire brushes, abrasive items, or liquids should not be used for cleaning. The appliance is not dishwasher safe.
  • Cooling: After use, especially after cooking programs, the Soup Maker should be allowed to cool sufficiently before making another batch or before extensive cleaning.
  • Sensor Cleaning: If an alarm sounds, users are advised to unplug the Soup Maker, clean the sensor, and reduce ingredient quantity before attempting to use it again.
  • Storage: The bowl should not be used as a storage container for freezing or other purposes.
