Colour.
The richness of the colours can be set
with the buttons © @) @. Select the
colours so that they appear as natural
as possible - a good orientation point is
the colour of faces.
Setting the colour on the set.
Press function button C¥ four times and
Asiust the colour with buttons (+) and
Colour shade.
Press button “Colour function © twice.
<Colour shade> appears on the
screen, Adjust with buttons © @) ©.
In TV standard NTSC, the colour
shade can best be adjusted accord-ing
to the colour of faces. In all other TV
standards, the colour shade is only
slightly altered. The alterations can best
be seen on the test cards; set a slightly
reddish shade with © @), or a slightly
bluish shade with @) ©.
What to do when colour spots occur.
If you notice a “colour spot which may
occasionally occur after the location of
the set has been changed, switch off
the set at the “Power‘ button and leave
it switched off for at least half an hour.
Then switch on again - the spot will
have disappeared. The automatic
demagnetisation circuit for the picture
tube will have “erased“ the spot.
Sharpness of the colour transitions.
The transitions (edges) from one colour
to the next can best be adjusted using
the colour bars of the test_cards. Press
button “Colour function © three times.
<Dig-P ON or OFF > (for digital
peaking) appears. You can now adjust

the sharpness of the colour transitions
with the buttons © : <ON> for
sharper, <OFF> for less sharp.
Adjusting the sound.
The sound can be adjusted in exactly
the same way as the picture. Your new
TV set offers a particularly wide range of
adjustments. The on-screen display
again shows you the preset values for
the sound settings.
All sound settings can be adjusted
using the remote control unit. Only the
volume can be adjusted on the set.
Volume.
Adjust the volume_using the button
“Volume“ . If no station is
being received or if you have pressed
the “Mute button ®, the volume will
not be changed.

Press function button C¥ once and
increase the volume with (F) or reduce
the volume with (-).
Balance.
Press button “Sound function“ ® three
times. <Balance> appears on the
screen. The volume of the left-hand or
right-hand loudspeaker can now be
increased or decreased with buttons

Bass.
Press button “Sound function“ © four
times. <Bass> appears on the screen.
The bass tones can now_be adjusted
with the buttons OC @ ©.
Treble.
Press button “Sound function" ® five
times. <Treble> appears on the screen.
The treble tones can ve be adjusted
with the buttons
Note: If the function button C¥ is
pressed five times, <Service> appears
on the screen. This setting should only
be carried out by your service
technician!
Base width or sound surround.
Press button “Sound function ® six
times. < > OFF or ON appears on
the screen. The base width (with stereo
reception) or sound surround (with
mono reception) can now be either
activated or deactivated with the buttons
Oe.
During stereo reception, the
increase in base width creates the
impression as if the loudspeakers of the
set were further apart. This considerably
increases the stereo effect.
Switching from stereo to mono or sound
track 1 to sound track 2.
When a stereo broadcast is received,
the set switches automatically to stereo.
If you nevertheless wish to receive the
programme in mono, press the button
“Sound function © twice. <Stereo>
will be displayed; you can then _switch to
mono with the buttons :
<Mono> is then displayed.
“Nicam“ Sound Standard,
Dual sound or stereo broadcasts can be
made in Spain, Sweden and England
with the “Nicam“ sound standard.
The receiver must be equipped with a
Nicam decoder in order to receive such
broadcasts.
The TV set is set automatically to stereo
in the case of Nicam sound
transmissions.
