Press button @) again briefly and select
menu line “Basic setting‘' with the
yellow arrow buttons @,
Press button ®) to store the settings,
then exit from the menu by pressing the
button.
Note: With “‘Basic setting’, the
“normal values“ previously set are
deleted and only the “basic settings“ are
active.
Programme-specific options.
If you receive TV stations broadcasting
in different TV standards or satellite
programmes, differences can occur in
‘volume or colour saturation when
switching from one station to another.
Different setting values (default values)
can be stored for volume, colour and
sharpness (image contour) for each
programme memory location.
Further programme-specific
functions can also be stored: Dig-P ON/-
OFF (digital peaking), S-PAL ON/OFF
(Super-PAL function), < > (base
width ON/OFF), childproof safety feature,
AV input (audio/ video input) and signal
(video signal VTR, RGB, SVHS, Ext.).

These stored default values are
not altered even when the basic settings
are called up!

Setting and storing options and default
values.
1. First select the programme memory
location, e.g. 01, at which you wish
to store the “Options or “Default
values“.
2. Call up the main menu by pressing
button @).
3. Move the blue cursor bar to ‘Station
search and storage".
4. Press button @ again.
5. Move the blue cursor bar to
“Add. func’' using the blue arrow
buttons ® or @.
6. Select a function with_the yellow
arrow buttons @ or @, e.g.
“Vol. corr.’ (Volume correction).
7. Alter the current volume: Louder with
© or quieter with O.
“Colour (colour saturation = Col. corr).
The colour saturation can be adjusted
or adapted in the same way.
“Sharpness Peaking (image contour).
Adjust to values between —1 via 00 to
+1 using buttons © or ©.
“Dig-P“ (digital peaking).
Sharper transitions (contours) from one
colour to the next can be achieved with
oieP ON“; adjust using buttons © or
“S-PAL“ (Super-PAL).
In the TV standards PAL and NTSC, the
brightness signal may be affected in
certain scenes by colour signals (colour
flickering on check jackets, etc.) Select
“S-PAL" and adjust to “S-PAL ON“ with
buttons © or ©. The colour flickering
will be suppressed and the image
improved.
< > Base width, sound surround.
The function base width during stereo
reception or sound surround during
mono reception can be selected
accordingly ‘< > ON"
Childproof safety feature.
lf you wish to bar a programme memory
location, set ‘‘Childlock ON‘ and store
this function at the appropriate memory
location. When the set has been
switched off and on again, the
programme location can no longer be
selected without the remote control unit.
8. Storing the input functions.
Position the blue cursor bar with the
blue arrow button @ on ‘Storage, the
selected programme memory location,
e.g. O1, will be indicated by a flashing
arrow tip > to the right. To store the set
values, press button ®. Exit from the
menu by pressing the ©) button.
To assign options to other programme
memory locations, always call up the
programme memory location first.
Note: Functions “AV input“ and “Signal
are described in section “Connecting
other equipment“
Displaying the time.
Press the button @ on the remote
control unit and the current time will be
superimposed on the picture at the top
or bottom of the screen. Press the
bution again to remove the time display
from the screen,
The time is only displayed on
stations which also transmit teletext.
